SEASCAPE
HE WAS SITTING BY THE SEA
OBLIVIOUS TO THE WIND AND STEADY RAIN
WATCHING THE SEA
WATCHING IT DRAW BACK
GATHERING PEBBLES
DRAW BACK AND FLING
DRAW BACK AND FLING
DRAW BACK AND FLING THEM ON THE SHORE
WHY DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND
WHY DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND
I FED THEM ON LOAVES AND FISHES
AND THEY WOULD MAKE ME A KING
I HEAL
AND THEY COMPLAIN IT'S THE SABBATH
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG
JUST THEN A PART OF THE BANK
ON WHICH HE WAS SITTING
GAVE WAY
AND HE HAD TO MOVE QUICKLY
TO ESCAPE BEING THROWN IN THE SEA
SAFE
HE TURNED TO WATCH THE SEA
RENEW ITS ATTACK ON THE SHORE
IT WON'T FALL THE FIRST TIME
OR IN A THOUSAND TIMES
BUT IT WILL FALL
IT WILL FALL
HE WAS SMILING NOW AS HE WATCHED THE SEA
COME ROARING IN
FULL TILT NOT COUNTING THE EFFORT
IT'S A BAD DAY FOR FISHERMEN SAID PETER
YES BUT NOT FOR A FISHER OF MEN
